„The Son” została nagrana na unikalnym w skali światowej instrumencie – fortepianie prostostrunnym Malmsjo Grand Piano z 1935 roku nazywanym także, z uwagi na swoją budowę, Banana Grand. Kompozycje zawarte na płycie z jednej strony są dźwiękowym pejzażem o bogatym zabarwieniu harmonicznym, z drugiej posiadają budowę piosenkową z wyraźnie dominującą melodią. Nagrań dokonano w stroju 432Hz, w którym Sławek Jaskułke pracuje od kilku lat. I jak sam artysta przyznaje: „Wybór obniżonego strojenia instrumentu w moim przypadku jest jednym z elementów budowania własnego, niepowtarzalnego brzmienia. Obniżony strój jest przyjemniejszy w percepcji, powoduje cieplejsze i ciemniejsze brzmienie. A barwa w mojej muzyce wybrzmiewa przed nutami.” Album „The Son” domyka cykl kompozycji zapoczątkowanych płytą „Senne”.

„The Son” was recorded on a unique instrument in the world – the straight-stringed Malmsjo Grand Piano from 1935, also called, due to its structure, Banana Grand. On the one hand, the compositions contained on the album are a soundscape with a rich harmonic color, on the other hand they have a song structure with a clearly dominant melody. The recordings were made in the 432Hz tuning in which Sławek Jaskułke has been working for several years. And as the artist himself admits: “The choice of a lowered tuning of an instrument in my case is one of the elements of building my own, unique sound. Lowered tuning is more pleasant to perceive, it makes the sound warmer and darker. And the timbre in my music sounds before the notes.” The album „The Son” closes the series of compositions started with the album „Senne”.
